The LCF Well Being Research Hub presents: The Validation Junky
JPS RHS East – Wednesday 16th November, 18:00 – 20:00
Fashion Space Gallery Design Resident 2016, Adam Peacock, is exploring how aspects of beauty and sexual attraction can be translated with genetic technology into the design of human bodies using the wits of fashion design. Join us on Wednesday 16th November for an outline of Adam’s practice, proposal of his residency project and an introduction to a collaborative workshop.
Adam Peacock is the Fashion Space Gallery 2016 design resident, director of design-research studio The Validation Junky and guest tutor at the Royal College of Art MA Fashion Womenswear and MA Fashion Menswear. Adam’s practice as a post-disciplinary designer and artist blends strategic fashion thinking, critical design, photography, body-centric architecture, graphic illustration and emerging technology. His design-research studio The Validation Junky looks at the new roles of technology in society, observing the vices of stripped back human nature and imagining characters by exploring the potential of emerging human genetic and artificial intelligence technologies in fashion design and fashion photography. His projects attract attention and dialogue from critical designers, geneticists, plastic surgeons, magazine editors, brand strategists, futurists and have been published, exhibited and lectured internationally. He has previously worked on brand development and future foresight for Stella McCartney, Hugo Boss, Lyst, Audi, on editorials for Wallpaper* Magazine and as an architectural designer for AL_A and designer for Heatherwick Studio.
