An introduction to archive research
This two hour session will cover some of the basics of archive research and allow students to gain some first-hand experience of working with archive material. You will also be pointed to archives across London and given a framework for approaching archives in support of your research.
28 February, 2 – 4pm, Museum Study Room (meet in reception)
An introduction to object literacy
This two hour session will help you understand how to use objects in your research. Working in groups we will learn to ‘read’ objects as the raw data for visual culture. The workshop should give you an understanding of how one object can have multiple meanings, and how your disciplinary background colours the way you see and conceive objects.
