A+ 100 Years of Visual Communication by Women at CSM

16 February – 23 March | Window Gallery

Celebrate a century of graphic design by female CSM staff and alumni at the Window Gallery’s latest exhibition curated by Ruth Sykes, GCD Associate Lecturer.

Featuring work from over 50 practitioners including Peggy Fortnum, the first illustrator to draw Paddington Bear, Margaret Calkin James, the artist behind those iconic London Underground posters, Freda Lingstrom OBE, the creator of the Flower Pot Men and many more, this is an exhibition aims to be part of the growing movement redressing gender representation in graphic design.

Join us and Studio Aishima in celebrating the opening of this exhibition on Twitter by tweeting the names and images of work by inspiring women graphic designers on Tuesday, 16 February with the hashtag #CelebrateWomen.

The names tweeted on this day and every day until the close of the exhibition on 23 March 2016 will be included in a weekly updated exhibition poster.

Head to the event page for the full details.
