Tate Exchange: Studio Complex

Workshop    15 – 21 JANUARY  |  BLAVATNIK BUILDING (SE1 9TG)
All this week our Art Programme students and staff will be taking over Tate Exchange with ‘Studio Complex: How to survive as an artist in the metropolis’. In response to scarce space and affordable studios, artists are challenging and re-inventing the studio. Around 200 students will construct fully functioning studios in Tate Exchange.

In addition to the studio and workshop events there will also be a series of lectures, performances and talks including:

Monday 15 January:
Monday Guest Lecture | Sonia Boyce in conversation with Graham Ellard, 4-6pm

Wednesday 17 January:
Workshop | Sound and Spaces | 12pm – 5pm
Lecture | Daniel Rubinstein – ‘Why art has no future?’ | 12 – 2pm
Lecture | Pat Naldi ‘…non art is more art than Art’ | 2 – 4pm
Lecture | UAE Venice Pavillion | 4 – 6pm

Drop in and select a studio (or a series of studios), take part in a wide range of practical activities and help us remake the studio of the future – visit our event page for details.
